Communication Coalition

Communication and the circular economy
The coalition helps companies master the terminology, the regulations and the key success factors of honest communication about their circular commitments.
Context
Context
While the circular economy is a strategic priority for a growing share of companies, many still find it difficult to communicate about their commitments. Yet being able to talk about the circular initiatives they are rolling out is becoming a genuine issue:
- To meet regulatory requirements: the AGEC law, the Climate & Resilience law, the Green Claims Directive, the CSRD… France and the EU have stepped in to tackle greenwashing, requiring companies to be far more transparent about the environmental impacts of their products and services.
- To seize new business opportunities: as companies invest more and more in circular business models, communication is an essential lever for making those models desirable to their various stakeholders (investors, customers, talent) and for generating revenue from these projects.
- To meet consumer expectations: 75% of French consumers say they are wary of companies' environmental claims; restoring the bond of trust between companies and their consumers is fundamental. That will require honest, transparent, evidence-based communication.
- To escape the "carbon tunnel": corporate communication still focuses too often on cutting carbon emissions. To stand out, companies must also be able to highlight other benefits such as protecting biodiversity, saving water and conserving resources, thereby underlining the overall positive impact of the circular transition.
Outcomes
The coalition's work led to a report co-written with ADEME, published in November 2025.

FAQ
What you need to know about us.
What is Circul'R?
Circul'R is a consulting firm specializing in the circular economy. Since 2016, it has supported over 150 large companies and public entities through consulting projects, sector-specific coalitions, training programs, and the Circul'R Club.
How does Circul'R differ from a generalist CSR consultancy?
Unlike a generalist CSR consultancy, Circul'R has specialized exclusively in the circular economy since 2016. This cross-functional expertise—covering supply chains, regulations (AGEC, REP, ESPR), and business models—allows the firm to turn circularity into a measurable competitive advantage: impact reduction, resource security, compliance, and new growth drivers.
Who is Circul'R for?
Circul'R advises large private companies—including many CAC 40 and SBF 120 groups—on their strategic decisions across all sectors. The firm also supports organizations implementing public circular economy policies, such as eco-organizations, agencies, funding bodies, and local authorities.
